Been here many time before but this is the worst experience. Definitely going down hill. Very limited food choice, only sandwiches but run out of crab and prawn. It’s a seaside pub for god sake. Sandwiches not very nice either. Poor attitude from staff, just want you seated and to get your money. Definitely lost its way. I will be surprised if it’s under the same ownership next year. If it is I won’t be back.
Drinks were nice and order taken quickly. Staff didn’t seem very friendly and mouthed rude words about customers behind their back because they’d moved tables, sandwiches weren’t very nice either. Seemed a shame not had an experience like that in Whitby before, wouldn’t return.
Crab sandwich £9.50. Brown bread, no salad or trimming. By the end of the first sandwich I'd removed 3 pieces of crab shell from my mouth and did not fancy any more. When I let the waitress know, she told me that the crab was prepared by
