This is first class world class chicken and chips. The best in Melbourne. You guys should consider coming to Carlton North area - you would be a huge success!!! Some empty shop fronts which you could occupy and we'd love to have you
Probably the best roast chicken, chips and salad. Chicken is tasty and cooked to a perfection (tender and juicy breast), Greek salad is fresh and with crunchy cucumber and fresh chips everytime. Just missing tables and chairs to dine in, so that we can enjoy the food at their best condition.
I travel all over Melbourne for work and this one's the best chicken in town bar none. It's a old family business and the dedication to a great take away meal really shows....the birds are spiced with a special Greek influenced lemon/rosemary/oregano/sage? blend and if you are there in the shop when the owner sprinkles the magic it's an extra special moment. Chips are of a consistently high standard and we always go for the Greek Salad as that is also a reliable and perfect accompaniment. We live in Coburg and Tasty Rooster is always busy (on a Friday at peak time expect a line out the door) and has become a local landmark really.
