I would have given zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time here. Go to a better Indian restaurant - there are plenty in Clayton. The staff and the owner have no respect for their customer's time. This happened to me not once but multiple times. I ordered a takeaway meal and they confirmed that it would be ready in 20 minutes (which I believe is their standard reply). I would arrive in 20 minutes expecting my order to be ready. Surprise! Surprise! I had to wait for more than 45 minutes each time for my order to be ready - standing in the restaurant and watching the faces of the staff. The irony is that the owner is not even sorry and did not even apologise for wasting my time when I tried to lodge a complaint. So please don't waste your time and go to another better Indian restaurant.
I love Taste of Taj. Been coming here for about 6 years. You probably will want to slice up the chunks of meat into smaller pieces, but the taste is always perfect, prices cheap, flavour great. I don't care about customer service as I've always gotten takeaway, but its authentic Indian and good price, fast service. I'll never go anywhere else, and I can't say I've ever had a bad meal, every month for 6 years.
