Some of my fav items from Ikune / Apres Wine Bar are: Shrimp Sando and Blue fin tuna chirashi don Perfectly fried shrimp and cabbage slaw nestled in fluffy white bread. A simple sandwich with perfect execution. I love the contrast in textures between the crunchy fried goodness and the soft bread . @apreswinebar wine bar serves up its Ikune menu, you can order sushi, sashimi bowls, sandwiches and some bbq items. Don’t forget to order cocktails or with your snacks, just so you can digest and eat some more I haven’t been back in a while to try their new dishes. I absolutely should do that soon
I’ve been getting the chirashi takeout from here since the beginning of the pandemic. Finally came for dinner and enjoyed it very much. For the two of us, we got the sashimi platter, the mackerel, a truffle tuna roll, dumplings, ebi katsu sando. The sashimi is always super fresh and all the dishes are unique and tasty (would order everything again)! My fav was the mackerel app, excellent balance of flavours from the fish and wakami salad. The dumpling came in a thick ramen like broth and it paired well with the dumplings. The bread on the sando a tad dry but the sandwich was still very tasty, the ebi is a nice change from the transitional pork sando that feels much heavier. I’ve visited serval times before when it was apres and service has always excellent, can’t wait to come back.
Recette is a treasure. Comfortable , great service, amazing cocktails and then the food. The food is so delightful and delicious. Each dish on its own is a complete taste experience hitting such lovely hight notes and flavour. Thank you for such a wonderful evening, and see you again. Looking forward to all the dishes this chef creates.
