Just came in off the street when the Royal Oak staff below was unresponsive, and what luck. First time - amazing time. The layout was classy, laid back and comfortable; the drinks were delicious, in many ways unique and made perfectly; and, the food was amazing without it being too expensive (e.g. $35 steak but also a $18 homemade pot-pie and fries). After all that, tonight they tested out the first of live Friday crooner nights - with Johnny Vegas belting out some classics. Just amazing.
We had a lovely evening drinking cocktails and listening to a talented jazz duo. The nachos and charcuterie were good, the butter chicken seemed to satisfy those who ordered it. Service was friendly, but dont go here if you are in a rush, the service is a bit laid back. That suited us fine, though, as we were there for the atmosphere, music, and drinks.
Attended Quiet Event Party. Great fun and 3 DJs playing at the same time over wireless headphones. Food and drinks reasonably priced. And everyone dances.
