Came here by circumstance (stuck at the mechanic) and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the large jerk chicken plate. I have to say, their rice and peas are ON POINT! Perfectly seasoned and with the right balance of thyme and coconut. Its been a while since Ive had a good, moist, tasty rice and peas. The jerk seasoning itself was well balanced, just enough spice, crispy skin, and not too saucy. Those alone I give the 5 stars to. I have been craving festivals forever and the one I got was more like a gingerbread dough...it tasted good but it wasnt festivals. The fried plantains were done right! My only complaint is that I couldnt eat inside! :( I would take the time to stop here again!
Very charming decor, nice atmosphere, everything looks brand new and most importantly clean ! Portions are more than fair and I have to admit I was surprised by how quick I was served (late Tuesday night). Service was very friendly and helpful in describing items on the menu and I felt welcome. Extremely good value and this is what I look for when I review a restaurant. Great, delicious food at a good price. Jerk chicken with rice and peas was very good, had a lot of flavour. My wife had accra, which she did enjoy as well. I only wish they played some Caribbean music, not some random rap and pop music.
