When I was 16 to 18 I used to come here on a Thursday for chips for dinner with my friend Mark. We'd have a bottle of wine and watch Ainslie Harriot on ready steady cook. There was this old dear who worked there, I estimate she was at least 85 and this was over 20 years ago so if she's still there say hello from me.One time I saw her pull a freshly fried fish from the fryer with her bare hands. She didn't even flinch. What a great memory.
Just sat on the seafront at Gorleston eating your fish and chips, I can honestly say the best I've eaten in long time. Hot, fresh and generous portion. Delicious thank you
I would give no stars if I could because this place is useless. 7th of June 2022. Just had 2 Medium cod and Large chips, 1 roll and a Gherkin delivered paid £16.90 , the Cod isn't Cod and was tiny, overcooked in old dirty oil. The chips had been left in the hot pan for a while and were squeaky when eating. whilst trying to call to complain the owner is offensive and told me to use another chip shop. What a top man, he obviously doesn't care about his business and happy to churn out rubbish. I will finish this with I come from Looe in Cornwall and in my early years worked in chip shops and restaurants during the holidays and know the difference between Cod and Whiting. If you want a decent seaside fish dinner while on holiday do not use the Dolphin fish Bar.
