Large fish fillets and thick-cut fries fried in fresh oil served with creamy coleslaw, the fish and chips were a delight. The light, fluffy breaded calamari is also worth trying. Though the interior decor is a bit dated, the food was excellent value for the price. Will definitely be going again in the future.
One of the last of the old time fish and chip places.... because who wants to pay an extra 6 bucks for a garnish and a fancy table Just finished eating there... 13.68 for a halibut and chips... took about 4 minutes between my order being taken and the food arriving HOT on a heated plate... plenty of time to eat it... fish was cooked expertly even though this place is likely to be forced into healthy oils which are usually terrible for cooking fish and chips... chips were double dropped and uniform and complimented the fish well... seems to attract a crowd of those looking to eat cheaply... I highly recommend this place for utility food, cheap fast takeout, and all manners of tradesmen and construction workers...
I called about 30 minutes before closing to order dinner. The staff were happy to take our order and had everything ready within 15 minutes when we got there to pick up.
