We had a fabulous night at the Old Smiddy. Warm atmosphere, good beer and whiskey, and excellent food. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating as they were initially fully booked for the night but managed to squeeze us in. As a bonus there was entertainment too with singing and bagpipes! A real bonus!! Totally recommend!!!
Stayed in the pub car park overnight in a motorhome. Landlord and locals were very chatty, giving us helpful information. Food is supposed to be spot on but we did not try any. The local bitter was a fantastic pint !! Don't be put off by the appearance of the place it's worth a stop over especially if you're doing the NC500
