We called here for our evening meal whilst staying at a nearby tourer park. The inn is a lovely thatched cottage with a quaint rustic interior and open fire. We had booked in advance and the hosts, Dave and Jackie, had put a big cushion by our table for our 2 puppies. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the tastiest chicken and ham pie with a crisp flaky pastry topping and fresh vegetables. The sticky toffee and rum pudding was delicious, as was the chocolate pudding that my husband chose. Jackie came out from the kitchen to see our 2 pups and was very friendly and said if we wanted to stay there in future she would make room for our caravan. Dave and Jackie are very friendly and we will definitely be visiting again.
We visited The King's Head Inn last night, as a party of 6, for a meal and drinks. The food was beautifully presented, freshly cooked with accompanying side dishes where appropriate. A short rest after the main course and the puddings and more drinks. We were then treated to a grand tour of the building, met both cats, but not the ghosts. An excellent evening was had by all.Thank you to Jackie and Dave for a fabulous meal and an evening filled with good humoured banter.
