I stood in line for over 35 minutes waiting for the heinous ninth grader to pass through the queue of others just like me: starving, shivering, dressed in rags, huddling together for warmth and a glimpse of compassion, though none had any to spare. When I had finally marched my way to the front of the line, like a petrified soldier on the beaches of Normandy, my adversary, the slop shop frozen treats teen could not even look me in the eyes as she delivered a rapturous scoop of corn-syrup infused chilled dairy into a small paper cup. It was the smallest scoop of food I had ever laid my eyes on, but I had not eaten since 3pm, and was desperate. "FOUR THIRTY THREE" she hissed, waving the debit machine in my face like Mauser in the chest of a Polish child. "p...please, a s...spoon, if you would" I whimpered as I tapped my Travel Rewards Plan Ultimate Optimum Double Points Mastercard. "NEXT" she shouted, ignoring my plea. I was lurched forward by the other starving civilians behind me, and out back onto the cold streets of Bayfield.
My kids love the Ice Cream Hut! Its the best ice cream. Fast, fresh, clean and your order is always correct. There are a million different flavors and combinations. Highly recommend!
Stopped in on our way home from a day of hiking. Great location for a pit stop. We happened to stop in on a day when a car show was going on in the plaza, so the ice cream hut was very busy. We ordered a soft serve fudge chocolate boat and a McFlurry/Blizzard style cookie dough ice cream cup. They DID NOT SKIMP us out on the toppings! Will likely be returning if we go hiking in the area again.
