I had the lamb combo special and it was delicious. True mom and pops restaurant! The flavours were spot on. The Lamb was the prefect spiciness for my taste buds, rice was cooked to perfection and the naan bread was so fresh I could have eaten 20 of them. But the most amazing was the dessert, it was like I was at the heart of India having a late night treat of Gulab Jaman. The texture and flavour of sweetness are to die for. Was going in with low expectations and I was just amazed. Highly recommended it!
First off - The couple of negative comments look like competition. So buy into those reviews. We are from Calgary and passing through we stayed the night in MJ and at 9:30pm we swung into Spice Hut. We were super happy we did! Everything was spot on. I got spicy BC and it was perfect! My wife got the Shrimp Biryani, really really good. Naan was made in house. Chicken was based in tandoori spices. Next time we pass through we will be back! Bathrooms were spotless and super clean. Restraunt was very clean. Excellent service. I popped my head into the kitchen- Spotless. Thank you again!
A real good place to dine in, especially when you’re craving authentic Indian food. Had the lamb biryani here and I must say it’s definitely my go to hereafter. If you’re looking for a restaurant with good ambiance, service and some spicy food this is the spot.
