Really happy we stumbled across this lovely little pub after a trip to Arundel Castle. We were greeted by two lovely Scottish ladies who made you feel right at home, the food was excellent, proper homemade grub. The steak in the pie was melt in the mouth and the pate was lovely. Lovely lady behind the bar was baking a cake to put in the bottom of a homemade trifle, I was very impressed with this, just shame we were to full to try a pud!
The Pub & the Campsite are both amazing.The Campsite is clean, tidy, well organised and very relaxed. The pub is welcoming, friendly and the food, despite our initial reservations, was amazing. Home cooked, full of flavour and lots of it.The site is situated either and hour walk or short train ride from Arundel which houses amazing pubs, restaurants and the castle is a must.Even better, do the river walk from the Museum car park to The Black Rabbit pub. Amazing location and well worth a visit.In all a highly recommended location to visit, kick back and relax.
Enjoyed a lovely meal here with friends and our dog, a week ago. The landlady was welcoming, chatty, friendly and knowledgeable. We were well met by her and her staff and our dog was treated wonderfully..The food was beautiful, well cooked and well presented. Would definitely visit this great old pub again when in this area 5*!
