On our honeymoon in Kingston we stopped here for lunch on the one day July 7 2021. Hi hostess was friendly and polite. We sat on the patio and I had deep fry pickles, and fish and chips. The deep fry pickles was amazing, i have never had pickles this good before ( they are home made). The fish on the other hand was over cooked. My husband had the spicy chicken sandwich, which he loved. To our surprise the hostess who we talked to and told him we were on our honeymoon, told the staff/owner who came out with a bottle of wine then came out with a warm chocolate brownie dessert, with chocolate sauce dipped on the plate in sharps of hearts. It was amazing. We would go back there again. Service was excellent and the food was good.
Went to Old Speckled Hen for drinks with friends. I love the old bar feel, makes you feel like youre back in time. Lots on tap, more then enough great whiskey to get you were you want. The bar staff were amazing, friendly, and on point. Highly recommend it for drinks to anyone. I have the food here before, its pub fare and its hit and miss, go for a drink and some average food.
Always a good place for a drink. Service is great and prices are reasonable. We enjoy sitting on the front patio in the summer and people watching. There are only a few tables but we have never had an issue getting one.
