Best sushi & sashimi in Calgary ! Its fresh, authentic and delicious. Their Shabu-shabu is tasty, and they also offer Omakase (if requested ahead of time.) We did Omakase for our anniversary, and we highly recommend it. Its worth trying this local restaurant that is owned by the nicest family. Not to mention, their service is impeccable.
For traditional and authentic Japanese cuisine, this is one of the gems to look up in this city. The menu is sophisticated and does NOT offer the overdone maki sushi offered almost everywhere thats covered in tempura bits, mayonnaise, and sauce that you cant even taste the fish. Worth trying are the yamakake maguro, kawari mushi, shishamo, and unadon. The daily special on the shima aji nigiri sushi that they had on my visit was absolutely amazing. I also found this places iterations on saba and tamago to be quite delicious. The aji tatake was out of stock but I really hope to try it next time (I hope soon!). Very much recommended.
Most authentic Japanese restaurant in Canada. The food was great! One of the highlights of my trip to Calgary.
